2024 North End Missions
Church of the Rock’s North End Missions is an amazing opportunity for you to join like-minded believers going into Winnipeg’s North End with the mission to bring the power, love, and encouragement of God to the most impoverished neighbourhood in our city.
We want to see individuals and families in our neighbourhood touched by God!
Who can participate on this Mission?
- Whether you are a seasoned veteran in evangelism or a terrified newbie, we want you to apply!
- Whether you want to participate just once this year, or on all of the weekends, we want you to apply!
Ways to Participate:

3-Day Outreach Events
The 3-day event begins Friday evening with a prayer night to focus your heart on the North End and to cover your ministry with the anointing of God.
Saturday morning will include teaching and practicing what you learn within our team. This will gear us up towards the afternoon outreach in the North End community. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with people in their homes, on the sidewalk, in the parks… and more!
Saturday evening the team will host a BBQ that is free and open to anyone in the neighbourhood, with a time for team members to share testimonies.
On Sunday morning, you will worship with the regular North End Campus congregation and join in with the prayer team and church service.
In the afternoon, you’ll participate in more neighbourhood outreach.
By late Sunday afternoon, we will close the weekend with a recap and celebrate what God has done!
Other quick details
- A donation of $100 to help fund this local mission trip is encouraged.
- You will sleep in your own home and bed each night.
- Meals provided are Saturday lunch and supper, Sunday Lunch, in addition to various snacks and beverages.
- You will need to be prepared to walk outdoors each afternoon, rain or shine.
- Saturday will be a full 12-hr day, minimum.

Saturday Meal/Movie Events
If you think spending three days in the North End will be too much for you or just doesn’t fit in your schedule, there are other ways for you to be involved.
You can register for one single event or become a regular part of these teams.
1. Volunteer for BBQ events. Take a role on the team that prepares and serves a meal to people from the North End neighbourhood, giving them exposure to God’s love and care.
a. Dates: Apr. 20, May 25, June 22, July 20, Aug. 24, Sep. 21, Oct. 26, Nov. 23.
b. Times: Saturdays, from 4:30-7:30pm.
2. Volunteer for Movie events. Set up, serve, and clean up for a movie event that brings in families from our neighbourhood to hear of God’s love and goodness.
a. Dates: Mar. 23, Apr. 13, Nov. 9, Dec. 21.
b. Times: Saturdays, from 3:30pm-6:30pm
3. Volunteer for Sunday morning services. Help make the NEC Sunday Service impactful for our guests from the neighbourhood in a variety of roles, from greeting to serving coffee, and more. No need to sign up or apply – just show up!
a. Dates: Any Sunday, Jan. thru Dec.
b. Times: 10:00am -1:00pm.
